Welcome to REVELATION NATION a vortex like place where
"closure is a fiction" and "a man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do"!

My book project

When asked to destroy and reconstruct a book it was like a childhood dream come true.....yes I love books but I'm one of those people that has to break the spine the second she receives one...this may freak some of you out...but a book in my opinion is made to be loved, it is a tactile creature, it wants you to hold it, it wants to be under your pillow, it does not enjoy being left on shelves alone. Since childhood I have always thought books have a magical power, when closed they whisper secrets to each other, when open you are allowed to share in these secrets. Books communicate- they are ALIVE!...It is the reader which gives them this aliveness, the exchange of energy from one to another which can in some cases be a world changing energy!

I wanted to play with the idea of what a book could be. Could it be something you love and hold?Could it be something with no beginning, no middle and no end? Could it set up a physical, emotional and intellectual discourse with its reader?

Barthes A LOVER'S DISCOURSE is "the site of someone speaking within himself, amorously, confronting the other, who doesn't speak...the lover's discourse is today, of an extreme solitude." How can we make the other interact with this one sided discourse? How can one eliminate solitude? Can the book provoke a reaction? Can it open up a conversation???
